Families and Philanthropy: How to make a difference and become a social change maker
Set up by John Royall (FBN USA) and Julia Hieber (FBN International) for FBN members of all generations, this program enables you to meet with family philanthropy leaders and social entrepreneurs. You will discover how the visionary and passionate activities of these individuals and organizations, including Ashoka and the Forum for Active Philanthropy, can contribute to long-term positive social change, and how you and your family could get involved in, and benefit from, philanthropy.

The overall aim of the day is for all participants to:

- Understand the core essence of social entrepreneurship: to turn social and environmental problems into sustainable solutions
_through entrepreneurship
- See what great opportunities there are in the field of philanthropy to further personal, family, professional and social impact while

_turning the world into a better place

Transport
10:30 - Departure by bus from the Summit hotel to Loyola University Chicago
4:30 - buses return from the field visits to the Summit hotel
Informal get-together in the hotel bar/restaurant/cafe

A light lunch will kindly be provided to all participants by our host, the Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago, before the field visits.

This event is available to full participants and is limited to 100 people only. This event requires an additional fee of $120.
